Badatz of Crown Heights Oversees Wheat Harvest for Crown Heights Matzah Bakery (Gallery)
On Sunday, 10 Tammuz, Mara D’asra Rabbi Yosef Braun led a delegation of rabbonim and community representatives to oversee the wheat harvest for shmurah matzos — continuing a sacred Chabad tradition described in Likkutei Dibburim.

Community Update: Temporary Water Discoloration
Water service on Kingston Avenue was temporarily shut off and has now been restored. Some brown water may appear temporarily. No cause for concern.

Crown Heights Vaad Hakohol Endorses New Shul Security Initiative: CHOSEN
In a landmark step toward strengthening communal safety, the Vaad Hakohol of Crown Heights has formally endorsed a new shul security initiative known as CHOSEN — the Crown Heights Office of Security and Emergency Network.

Kingston Avenue Construction Update
The City of New York is conducting essential sewer upgrades on President Street and Kingston Avenue. CHJCC is working closely with city officials to ensure the project finishes efficiently and ahead of the Tishrei holidays. Streets will be closed to through traffic during work hours. Crown Heights Beis Din Hosts Welcome Reception for Visiting Rabbonim
A warm and dignified Bruchim Haboim was held on Erev Shavuos, 5 Sivan 5785, at the Eshel Hotel for a group of rabbonim who came to spend time near the Rebbe. Arranged by the Vaad Hakohol on behalf of the Beis Din Tzedek of Crown Heights, the event brought together rabbonim from around the world in a spirit of achdus, kavod haTorah, and heartfelt connection. Community Notice: Biarritz Restaurant No Longer Under CHK Certification
As of Sunday, May 19, 2025, Biarritz Restaurant at 268 Kingston Avenue will no longer be under CHK kosher certification. Community members who rely on CHK supervision should take note of this change.
