Public Alert: Unauthorized Use of the CHK Kosher Certification

To the kosher-observant public, particularly in the State of Illinois,

We have received a reliable report that a product is being sold in a store in Illinois under the brand name “Shor HaBor”, bearing the CHK – Crown Heights Kosher certification mark without any authorization or supervision from our organization.

We wish to state the following clearly and unequivocally:

  • This product is not under CHK supervision

  • Shor HaBor has not been granted permission to use the CHK name or logo

  • This constitutes unauthorized use and may mislead kosher consumers

We are currently investigating the matter and will take appropriate action.

If you come across any product bearing the CHK logo that appears questionable, please contact us immediately at office@chkosher.org , and provide the following details:

  • Name of the product

  • Description of the packaging

  • Store name and address

  • Date of purchase

  • Clear photos of the product and the alleged certification

We appreciate the community’s cooperation in helping us preserve the integrity of kosher supervision.

Sincerely,
CHK – Crown Heights Kosher
