Heavy Rain Causes Road Warping on Kingston Ave — Crews Respond Swiftly
Due to yesterday’s downpour, the packed dirt beneath temporary asphalt on Kingston Avenue shifted, causing surface warping. Baruch Hashem, no one was hurt. Crews are already on-site repairing the issue, but full closures are in effect from Eastern Parkway through President, including Union.

Kingston Avenue Construction Update #3
Construction on Kingston Ave between Eastern Pkwy and Union is complete. The city has also posted a detour sign on Carroll Street, easing traffic buildup on President. Additional alley closures between President and Union begin July 26.

Kingston Avenue Construction Update #2
Work at the intersection of Kingston Avenue and Eastern Parkway has been completed for now and will remain open through Tishrei. Please note: the intersection of Kingston and Union Street will be closed during daytime hours for ongoing construction over the next few days, with completion expected by Monday.

The City of New York is conducting essential sewer upgrades on President Street and Kingston Avenue. CHJCC is working closely with city officials to ensure the project finishes efficiently and ahead of the Tishrei holidays. Streets will be closed to through traffic during work hours.
